Bear Creek Hunting Club
Bear Creek Hunting Club Located in Southern Tuscaloosa county near Duncanville has 2 available memberships for the 2025-2026 season. The club has 7 members with approximately 1700 acres that adjoins the Talledega National Forest/Oakmulgee WMA which brings in additional hunting opportunities especially during the rut. The property is bordered by Sandy Creek to the North and South Sandy Creek to the West and South. There are also gas and powerline right-of-ways through the central area of the property for approximately 2.5 miles. The property is diverse hard wood bottom areas and planted pine sections that have been recently thinned and opened up. There are 20 green fields and 25+ shooting houses, lock-on and ladder stands. There is a designated area for camping and a camper spot is available with power (no water source). The club has managed the property for 7 years with select deer management guidelines to improve the quality, health and numbers of deer. We focus on bucks reaching 4-1/2 years and older for harvesting which creates an optimum hunting experience with higher numbers of mature target bucks. There is also the opportunity of hog, bobcat, coyote and small game hunting. The turkey population is very healthy due to a neighboring properties being clear cut which created an impactful situation has improved on what was already an excellent turkey population on the property. The dues for the 2025-2026 season will be approximately $3500. Our dues are calculated by using the lease cost from Westervelt and a second property divided by 7 members.
